Recital
Rachel’s
Ballet produces an annual ballet recital to showcase
the talents and accomplishments of our students.
The recital is held at the
Parking
& Directions to Ohlone College
- Directions to Smith Center on
the Ohlone College Campus
- Map of Ohlone College Campus
- Parking Permits are required at
- Monday through Friday 7:00am
– 11:00pm
- Saturday 7:00am – 5:00pm
- You must purchase a Daily
Parking Permit ($2.00 exact-change-only
machines in lot) to park in Lot C
- Lot B is for “Ohlone
Faculty Only” but after 5:00pm Monday-Friday or on Saturday, you may
purchase a Daily Parking Permit to park there
Costs
- Tickets: Each student is responsible for
purchasing a minimum of number of tickets to defray the theater rental
expense. The number of tickets and
ticket prices will be announced at a later date. Additional tickets can be purchased on a
first-come, first-serve basis
- Costumes: Students must purchase one or more
costumes and props, depending upon the number of dances to be performed
Dates & Details for the 2009 Spring Recital
Picture Day
May
5, 2009 - Tuesday, 4:00pm - 8:00pm
Location: Rachel’s Ballet Studio
- A
professional photographer will take pictures of all ballet students in
their recital costumes (individual and group photographs)
- A
schedule with specific times for each class will be posted in the studio
lobby several weeks in advance
- Students
should arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled picture time with makeup
and costume on; please bring additional costumes if you have more than one
dance plus any props. Please be
prompt to avoid delays and disrupting the schedule
- Please
make checks payable to “Memory Makers” and fill out the picture
order form(s) provided. Please fill
out one order form for each specific dance. Contact information for the photographer

Preparation/Rehearsal Days
May 20 & 21, 2009 - Wednesday & Thursday
Location:
Rachel’s Ballet Studio

of costumes and rehearsal of dances for Recital
Dress Rehearsal for Recital

22, 2009 - Friday, 3:30pm – 9:00pm
Location:
Jackson Theater in the Smith Center, Ohlone
College, Fremont CA
- A
schedule with specific times for each class will be posted several weeks
in advance
- Everyone
participating in the recital must attend the dress rehearsal
- Please
drop off students at the NUMMI Room (used as our dressing room) which is located to your right after you
enter the
- No
one is allowed in the back stage area except the student performers and
the helpers that day
- All
students must be ready with costumes (no makeup necessary) at least 15
minutes prior to their scheduled rehearsal time. Please be prompt to avoid delays and
disrupting the schedule

Recital
May
23, 2009 - Saturday, 2:00pm AND 7:00pm (Tentative)
Location:
- Please

audience will be admitted into the Jackson Theater approximately 15
minutes before the recital begins.
Once inside the Jackson Theater, NO Cameras or Video Cameras
are allowed to be used during the recital performance. Also please finish consuming any
food before entering the theater
